The taproom is massive and the outdoor seating area is rather extensive. Food quality has upgraded significantly since our last visit in 2018. There were approximately 30 tap handles when we visited.

BEER:

Birdseye Belgian Tripel (4.25) – Bold, sweet, malty tripel packs a punch; 9.2% ABV right on the edge of being dominant.

Black Walnut Belgian Imperial Stout (4.50) – Smooth and silky Stout; high ABV (9.5%) not overpowering; a definite velvet hammer type of beer.

Boxcar English Amber (3.25) – A thin-bodied amber that lacks punch; nice hop character.

Doktoberfest Märzen (3.75) – Light amber color. Malty sweetness evident, could use an extra dose of caramel malt. Beer needs to be bolder and bigger to be a truly great Märzen. Hop bitterness hangs around in the background and provides nice balance.

Driftwood Porter (3.75) – Nice roasted character; addition of more malt moves this beer from good to great.

Guitar City Dark Schwarzbier (5.00) – Dark brown appearance. Terrific bold and roasted character. Classic Schwarzbier profile. Hop bitterness in the background, where it belongs. The beer is as big as they come, but is smooth as silk.

Guitar City Gold Lager (4.00) – Medium-bodied lager; light hop bitterness in finish; highly drinkable.

Kilted Kölsch (4.00) – Hugely drinkable; solid malt flavor.

Pivo Boho Pilsner (4.75) – Golden straw appearance. Big, malty mouthfeel. Strong bite of hop bitterness, which hits the bullseye for a Czech Pilsner. Tremendously well balanced.

Spring City Saison (4.25) – Medium-bodied Saison; fruity and complex; not at all subtle, as is the case with many Saisons; high ABV (8.1%) not evident.

Summer Vice Hefeweizen (2.50) – A bit thin for style; checks the boxes for other Hefeweizen aspects.
