Large, lively, pub with high ceilings, U-shaped bar. Convenient and highly visible location right off Interstate 94, between Milwaukee and Madison. They also host banquets and weddings.
Open daily. They had 13 beers on tap. Below are a few that we sampled.
BEER:
Dockside Ale Kölsch (3.50) – Nice, crisp flavor; very low hop bitterness; highly drinkable.
Sommerzeit Hefeweizen (4.25) – Beautifully malty and tasty; terrific example of style.
Delafield Amber (4.50) – Hugely malty and sweet roasted malts enhance overall character; excellent balance between malt and hop bitterness.
Naga-Wicked Pale Ale (3.00) – Aggressively hopped pale ale; great for the hop head in the family; crying for more malt to balance things.
Pewaukee Porter (4.50) – Awesome, roasted, smoky character; a porter on the verge of greatness; a touch more malt puts this beer over the top.
FOOD:
Large menu with Brew-tizers, Soups and Salads, Pub Sandwiches, BBQ Specialties, Haus Variety (Entrees), Burgers and Pizzas. Daily specials offered, including a Friday fish fry. A couple of unique options: Brussels Sprout Salad: shaved brussels sprouts, bacon, door county dried cherries, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, red wine vinaigrette; or Blackened Shrimp Mac and Cheese.
