George Górecki has been a beer lover for most of his life.  His approach to beer can be summed up by the Warsteiner tag line: “Life is too short to drink cheap beer.”

He is a retired research chemist, a useful background for appreciating various beer flavor profiles, and also for the attention to detail required during the homebrewing process.

He has traveled all over, sampling some of the world’s finest beers. He believes that you’ve never had a beer until you’ve had a beer at the Munich Oktoberfest.

Laurie Górecki enjoys travel, cooking and dining out.  You might describe her as a “foodie.”  When she’s not cooking, entertaining, or watching the Food Network, she is searching for new recipes, and new restaurants to try. She has lived in Chicago, Washington DC, and Los Angeles, and has dined at some of the most popular restaurants in each city.  Working for a restaurant industry publication allowed her to travel and meet some of the finest chefs, such as Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse and Nobu Matsuhisa.

Since meeting George in 2003, she has gained an appreciation of craft beer, and loves discovering new brewpubs.  They have traveled extensively in the US, as well as to many other countries, including Canada, Germany, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, the Netherlands, Ireland and the UK.
