Medium-sized taproom and a patio in the back. Their food menu features items that have been locally sourced, like sandwiches, chili, and big pretzels. There were 11 beers on tap when we visited.
BEER:
Back To Basics Blonde Ale (3.50) – Straw yellow, slightly hazy appearance. Medium-bodied and smooth tasting. Hop bitterness evident and lingers in aftertaste.
Hovey Strawberry Blonde Ale (3.75) – Golden yellow, hazy appearance. Light- bodied mouthfeel. Beer contains no strawberries, but instead blood orange, honey and spices. Honey comes through clearly and citrus is at the forefront. Easy to drink.
Milk Can Stout (3.00) – Very dark amber appearance. Some roasted character comes through, but this beer needs an upgrade in the malt bill. Creamy, velvety texture in the mouthfeel clearly missing. Coffee notes present.
Schwarzbier (3.25) -Dark amber color, expecting it to be darker. Roasted malts are present, but there’s not enough there. Would be a good example of a “Light Schwarzbier” if such a thing existed.
