Fourteen beers on tap. Spacious taproom and patio. Cozy arrangement of various styles of tables and chairs in addition to comfy chairs and sofas.
Grapefruit Radler (3.00) – Refreshing and fruity. Nice alternative to conventional wheat style beer.
Blood Orange Citrus Hefeweizen (3.50) – Light, medium-body ale. Orange flavors sit in background. Low level hop bitterness. Nicely balanced.
Hefeweiss (4.75) – Classic Hefeweizen characteristics. Low hop bitterness, light-bodied German ale. Clove aspects evident, as appropriate. Brewed in a square fermenter, consistent with German brewing techniques.
Oktoberfest (4.50) – Big, malty Märzen. Roasted and caramel flavors dominate. Appropriate balance between malty sweetness and hop bitterness.
Kole Porter (3.75) – Roasted character evident, but malt bill is somewhat lacking. Hop bitterness sneaks in from the background. A decent example of style, but could be so much more.
Smokin’ Gramma Scotch Ale (4.25) – Brown ale aged in bourbon barrels. 8.25% ABV not subtle, but also not overpowering. Sweet and malty. Bitterness at an acceptable level for style.
What the Helles (3.00) – What probably started out as a decent Pilsner became the ultimate lawnmower beer.
