Small, spartan tap room with a long curved wooden bar. Dollar bills stuck to the ceiling. Their motto is: “Handmade in small batches with love.” Half of the beer offerings were over 7.5% ABV during our visit.
BEER:
Commuter Kölsch (4.25) – Light, sweet, low bitterness, very true to style.
Penguin American Pale Ale (3.50) – Medium body, slight bitterness in aftertaste.
Berliner Weiss (4.75) – Sour taste makes you pucker; great Berliner Weiss beer qualities, light body, wheaty flavor.
Flemish Giant Hefeweizen (1.75) – amber color, fruity pale ale, poor example of style.
FOOD:
They offer a variety of bar snacks, pizzas, meat and cheese boards, pretzels, etc. You are also welcome to bring in food.
