SteelTank is a veteran-owned brewery. The restaurant space is massive, with lots of TVs tuned to sports. There is also a nice-looking patio in the back, There were 17 beers on tap plus 8 specialty beers when we visited.

BEER:

GI Joe Oatmeal Coffee Stout (4.50) – Dark amber appearance. Roasted flavors and coffee notes dominant on first sip. Low level of hop bitterness, as expected.

GI Party Kölsch (4.25) – Golden colored German ale. Malty and sweet, as appropriate for style. Hop bitterness limited. Highly drinkable.

Hunker Down Porter (4.75) – Amber appearance is within style guidelines, but darker color expected. Bold, roasted flavors front and center. Hits the bullseye! Hop bitterness takes a back seat, as appropriate.

Iron Rations Hefeweizen (4.50) – Hazy, straw colored wheat beer. Contains the classic Hefeweizen profile: clove and banana are bountiful. Hint of citrus in aftertaste.

Lock N Load Pilsner (3.75) – Straw yellow lager. Somewhat lighter bodied. Hop bite evident on first sip and lingers nicely. Highly drinkable.

Nut to Butt Brown Ale (4.25) – Dark amber ale. Big and bold mouthfeel. Malt sweetness dominant characteristic. Hop bitterness well balanced with malty character.

Oktoberfest Märzen (3.25) – Light amber appearance. Body too thin for style. Needs more caramel or roasted malt. Hop bitterness and malt sweetness properly balanced.

The Privates Vienna Lager (4.25) – Amber colored lager. Medium-bodied, nice malt sweetness. An extra dose of caramel malt wouldn’t hurt this beer at all. Hop bitterness in harmony with the rest of the recipe.
