A spacious, if spartan, taproom. For the athletically minded, table tennis is available. There is a stage in the corner for live entertainment. There were 12 beers on tap the day we visited.
BEER:
Goldenrod Pilsner (3.50) – Somewhat lighter bodied lager. Decent amount of malt sweetness. Lightly hopped, lingers into the aftertaste.
Gateway Kölsch (3.50) – Clean and refreshing. Medium-bodied German ale. Hop bitterness properly balanced. Drinkable, but unremarkable.
13 Rebels ESB (4.50) – Deep amber color. Malt character front and center. Good balance between hop bitterness and malt sweetness. An extra dose of malt propels this beer to greatness.
Anvil Porter (4.75) – Very deep brown color, nearly opaque. Massive roasted character, as expected. Coffee notes evident. Hop bitterness sits in the background. A porter that hits all the notes.
