The taproom has an old-fashioned, outdated look and feel. TVs are too small, with poor quality video.
16 beers on tap. Really unprofessional technique serving samples, pouring new sample into the previous tasting glass, rather than providing a fresh glass.
BEER:
John T Pilsner (2.00)– Inadequate balance between malt character and hop bitterness; needs more malt.
Saison de Gabrielle (2.00) – Far too sweet for Saison style.
Oktoberfest Harvest Bier (1.50) – Beer is thin for style; lacks roasted character and malt sweetness.
Treasure Chest ESB (1.75) – Somewhat thin for style; ESB needs more roasted malt.
Bone Crusher Stout (3.00) – Too thin for a truly good stout; roasted character OK.
Jack of Spades India Black Ale (3.50) – Big and bold malt character; smooth, despite big malt bill.
FOOD:
Complimentary popcorn and pretzels.
