Nice, modern taproom, exposed ductwork in the ceiling, brightly colored walls in red and yellow. There is actually a second room with a bar and a shuffleboard game, divided by a side wall. The second bar wasn’t in use at the time of our visit. Live music most Thursdays and Saturdays, check the website for details. Brewery tours given once a month on Saturdays.
Dog-friendly taproom, with doggie treats available.
BEER:
Comfortably Blonde Ale (2.50) – Light body, very low hop bitterness, hint of citrus in the aftertaste.
Rye Me Wheat Ale (3.00) – Smooth and drinkable ale; the hint of rye is a nice touch.
Powerful Pils (4.25) – Medium body, bold hop finish, smooth as silk.
Oktoberfest (2.75) – Sweet, malty flavor evident, way too thin to be a good Oktoberfest.
Solly’s Black Ale (4.25) – Bold and malty, dark malt character dominates; dry aftertaste, low bitterness.
Boxcar Porter (4.50) – Huge, roasty, malty flavor; smooth and silky; excellent example of the style, notes of coffee flavor.
Reformator Doppelbock (3.50) – Big and strong, more sweet than malty.
