Small taproom with four beers on tap, along with guest beers. The taproom is small, but cozy. Even when full, there is no feeling of being cramped. Small snacks and tapas available. The nuts provided at the bar are very spicy!

Two locations in Madrid; we visited Bee Beer Bar Chueca. The beer is brewed in Segovia.

BEER:

Agente 99 Honey Basil Orange Ale (3.00) – Medium-bodied straw colored ale. Orange and honey flavors take a back seat to basil. Easy to drink, but a matter of preference with regard to how much basil needs to be in a beer recipe. Low hop bitterness, almost undetectable.

Capitán Pistacho Salty Pistachio Stout (3.50) – Very dark brown appearance. Lacking in big, roasted character. Salty and pistachio aspects evident and provide a flagship attribute. Low level of hop bitterness, as appropriate.

Columbus & Azahar Honey American Pale Ale (3.50) – Medium-bodied, straw colored ale. Honey is upfront, but not over the top. Highly drinkable and smooth.

Rey Mirras Strong Belgian Ale (4.50) – Deep brown colored Belgian ale. Complex flavor profile, embedded fruity notes. The beer is dubbed with myrrh, although it’s not clear what effect myrrh has. 8% ABV concealed expertly.
