We visited the Asheville location, which is home to a massive brewing operation. The taproom is quite roomy, with tables, chairs, benches. There is plenty of outside outside space, with picnic tables and games. We took a very Informative 45-minute tour, which was free of charge. They had 20 beers on tap, plus some seltzers when we visited.
BEER:
1554 Dark Belgian Ale (4.50) – Big and malty with complex fruity notes. Low level of hop bitterness, as appropriate. Smooth, easy to drink.
Fat Tire Amber Ale (3.75) – New Belgium’s flagship beer, Medium-bodied ale, amber color. Reasonable level of hop bitterness.
Mountain Time Premium Lager (3.50) – Somewhat lighter bodied lager. Unadventurous level of bitterness. Obviously made for sessionable drinking.
Trippel (4.50) – Big beer that packs a punch. 8% ABV front and center. Fruity character a big contributor to the flavor profile.
Summer Bliss Tropical Wheat Beer (4.50) – Medium-bodied, fruity wheat ale, cloudy and straw colored. Citrus and mango flavors stand out. Low level of hop bitterness. Easy to drink, Refreshing.
