Just as it says on their website: “This is not a typical brewery.” Most of the beers are sweet and/or fruity, don’t taste like beer; they can mix different flavors together to create unique cocktails. If you’re not a big fan of beer, you would probably enjoy these. They offer tours where you can taste everything…sounds like a fun time.

They had 12 beers and 4 champagnes on tap, featuring some very unique flavors like chocolate peanut butter cup, bourbon pecan, and coconut almond. They brewed the first hard root beer on the market, Not Your Father’s Root Beer, which is now sold across the US. They later added NYF Mountain Ale, Vanilla Cream Ale and Ginger Ale, as well as Not Your Mom’s Iced Tea, Apple Pie and Strawberry Rhubarb. The champagnes are a new addition, and worth a try.

BEER:
Blondie (3.25) – Light-bodied, crisp ginger beer; 10% ABV deceptive and sneaky.
Wauconda Wheat (2.75) -Smoky aspect a new twist on a typical wheat beer; wheat character is somewhat overwhelmed.
Colonial Rye Porter (3.25) – Rye aspect tries to substitute for traditional roasted flavor, which is missing; needs more oomph in the grain bill to be a great porter.
Barrel Aged Root Beer (3.75) – Super smooth, traditional root beer taste; 10.7% ABV not evident.

FOOD:
