Very cool, modern taproom in a great location next to Trader Joe’s in a busy shopping center at the intersection of Rand Road and Main Street.

Hours: Wed-Thu 3pm-10pm; Fri 3pm-12am; Sat Noon-12am; Sun Noon-8pm.
Eleven beers on tap.

BEER:

Accordance Dark Czech Lager (4.25) – Dark brown appearance, nearly opaque. Roasted character evident. Big and malty, but an extra dose of dark malt propels this beer to a higher level.

Concordance Czech Pilsner (4.50) – Straw yellow, light amber appearance. Malt bill full of big flavors. Hop bitterness prominent and lingers into aftertaste. Beer is extremely drinkable and not held back by massive mouthfeel.

Easy Hour Altbier (3.50) – Brown, amber appearance. Body somewhat thin for style. Expectation for a richer, malty character. Bitterness level on the mark.

Fools Errand Brewing Porter (3.75) – Nice, caramel, malty character; needs more malt to be a truly outstanding porter.

Helles (4.50) – Crisp, medium bodied lager. Moderate level of hop bitterness, lingers gracefully in the aftertaste. Highly drinkable.

Hype’s Kryptonite Unfiltered Pils (4.25) – Crisp, refreshing German style pilsner; terrific balance between hop bitterness and malt sweetness.

Keller Ale Kölsch (4.00) – Beer is unfiltered, straw yellow and hazy. Crisp flavor, somewhat more bready than a classic Kölsch. Minimal bitterness, as appropriate. Clever twist on the typical approach to this style. Extra credit for serving the beer in a Stange, the proper Kölsch glass.

Maibock (4.75) – Light amber appearance. Big, big beer. Malty sweetness dominates. Despite the full body, drinkability is smooth as silk. Hop bitterness stays in the background, as appropriate. 6.6% ABV remains in the shadows and does not result in a punch in the nose.

Melts Into Air California Pilsner (3.00) – Golden, straw appearance. Medium-bodied lager. Aggressively hopped. Tastes more like an American Pale Ale than a pilsner.

Springs Eternal Witbier (1.50) – Tastes more like a fruity pale ale than a witbier; needs to have the citrus coriander character.

Table & Timber English Mild Ale (5.00) – Light amber appearance. Big and malty, not for the faint of heart. Malt sweetness at the forefront. Somewhat dry aftertaste lingers. Low level of hop bitterness. Served on cask.

Tart’s Desire Fruited Kettle Sour (4.00) – Sweet and tart flavor profile; tartness not at all overpowering; could be a beer version of a fruit soda; refreshing beer.

Thither They Return Rotbier (3.25) – Red-amber appearance. Light to medium bodied. Bitterness properly balanced with malt sweetness. Beer induces something of a puckering reaction.

Venetian Night Unfiltered Lemongrass Saison (3.75) – Light-bodied ale; could use a tad more malt in the grain bill; very nice example of the classic Saison style.

Zwickel (4.25) – Golden appearance, slightly hazy. Sizeable hop bitterness is a significant part of the flavor profile. Somewhat grainy character.
