When we stopped in recently, they had only been open for three weeks. It’s a modern, airy tap room with a big bar area, outdoor seating, fermentors just out of the wrapper.
BEER:
Pils (4.00) – Medium body, hoppy Czech style, smooth as silk.
Detail Porter (4.25) – Dark, deep color, roasted coffee and chocolate flavors dominate; outstanding example of style.
Dapper British Session Ale (NR) – Significant hop aroma, medium body, bitterness lingers long after swallowing.
FOOD:
The menu offers a good variety of taproom snacks, cheese and meats, salads, brewfood, and dinner entrees. No more than seven options in each category, so the choices are not overwhelming (a good thing). There are several vegetarian items.
We were looking for more of a snack on this visit, so we ordered the Grilled Cheese. Thick cut bread, toasted perfectly, with tangy cheddar cheese, basic but very good. It came with spicy jalapeno coleslaw, a nice change from the usual slaw you find at most places.
