Huge, impressive space with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. A very long stainless steel bar dominates the lower level Beer Hall. Open at 11am daily.
Tours lasting 45-60 minutes are offered daily; check the website for times and to book ahead.
There were 28 beers on tap, and we wished we had more time to try them all. This is the best brewpub we have ever visited.
Soccer fans take note that they are the official pre-match destination for Minnesota United.
BEER:
Hell Munich Helles (4.50) – Crisp, medium-bodied lager; hugely smooth and lightly hopped.
X-tra Citra Pale Ale (4.25) – Light-bodied ale with bright, hoppy character; fresh, citrus flavor provides splendid balance; highly drinkable.
Minsch Kölsch (4.75) – Excellent example of the Kölsch style; smooth, refined; Köln in Minneapolis!
Heat Slayer Kölsch (4.50) – Another terrific example of the Kölsch style, combining lager characteristics in an ale; medium body, low bitterness; mouthfeel results in a spectacular German ale.
Alt-Ernative Facts Altbier (5.00) – Incredible example of altbier style; ticks all boxes with respect to malt character and hoppiness.
Coffee Bender Oatmeal Brown Ale (4.75) – Full-bodied brown ale; malt character dominates flavor; coffee notes evident in bouquet and palate.
FOOD:
The Beer Hall menu is divided into sections: Vegetables, Meat and Cheese, Bar Snacks, Sandwiches, Large Plates, and Barbecue. Based on descriptions and the rave reviews from the party seated next to us, the food is incredible. We tried the Ricotta Gnocchi, (shallot, garlic, dill, chive, parmesan, and black pepper), and the Chopped Salad (romaine, mozzarella cheese, picholine olive, cherry tomato, garbanzo bean, soppressata, and herb vinaigrette), both were excellent.
Upstairs is the Brewer’s Table, offering a chef-driven experience pairing exceptional food with exemplary beer. Hours are Wed-Thu: 5pm-10pm, Fri-Sat: 5pm-11pm
