Large indoor space with a long curved wooden bar, brick and wood décor; outdoor patio with scenic views. It’s a convenient stop when driving from Chicago to Milwaukee, so we’ve visited many times, enough to sign up for the Rewards Program.

Currently eight beers on tap, including two IPA’s, Weissbier, Amber Ale, Brown Ale. Here are two that we tried on our recent visit.

BEER:
Kitzinger Kölsch (3.50) – Refreshing, light body, low bitterness, smooth and easy to drink.
Doozy Altbier (4.50) – Outstanding malty flavor, medium body, low bitterness, excellent example of style.

FOOD:
Large menu with a wide variety of choices: appetizers, soups, salads, steaks, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, even pizzas, as well as a kids menu. Vegetarian options available.

Try the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, a bit spicy and very tasty. Nice to have the option to choose a side of slaw instead of fries. For something light, go for the house salad with chicken. It comes with a blend of mixed greens, shredded carrots, red pepper, tomato, red onions and a balsamic vinaigrette. A pretty basic, but solid choice.
