Indeed opened their original brewery in Minneapolis in 2012. The Milwaukee brewery opened in 2019 and is located in Milwaukee’s Third Ward neighborhood. The brewing operation is visible as you walk in. A long corridor leads to main bar, which is a mix of small tables and communal benches. There were 19 beers on tap when we visited.

BEER:

Belgian Style Tripel (5.00) – Straw yellow appearance. Full bodied goodness from the first sip. Lots of good stuff happening in the malt bill: sweetness, fruit aspects, grainy. Complexity in flavor profile off the charts. 9.8% ABV; you would never know it.

Czech Pilsner (3.75) – Golden appearance. First gulp is a hearty beer, hop bitterness appropriately featured. Medium bodied beer, perhaps a tad thin for style. The expectation is a bigger, bolder beer. Smooth and easy.

Loretta’s Dark Lager (4.50) – Dark amber appearance. Big, malty sweetness dominates flavor profile. Hint of caramel aspects evident and welcome. Low level of bitterness, yet well balanced.

Maibock (4.75) – Amber appearance. Full bodied mouthfeel, big beer, as expected. Malty sweetness a huge delight. Hop bitterness properly balanced. 6.5% ABV not even noticeable. Excellent example of style.

New Zealand Style Pilsner (4.25) – Slightly hazy, straw yellow appearance. Medium bodied pilsner. Floral notes apparent in bouquet. Hop bitterness lingers slightly in aftertaste. Well constructed recipe. Highly drinkable.

Oktoberfest (4.25) – Light amber appearance. Full flavored and malty. Good bite from the hops side, properly balanced. Good example of a Munich Festbier.

Springbier Unfiltered German Lager (4.50) – Light amber appearance, slightly hazy. Medium bodied, easy to drink. Malty sweetness very prominent and pleasing characteristic. Hop bitterness takes a back seat, fairly appropriately.

Vienna Lager (3.75) – Golden, light amber appearance. Medium bodied lager. Lacking in toasty character. Expectation was for a fuller and more robust mouthfeel. Hop bitterness well balanced with malty character.
