They focus on sustainability efforts in the areas of environmental stewardship, community involvement and industry leadership. They continually implement sustainable systems in the brewery. They’re making the community greener through giving 1% of annual revenue to local environmental non-profits. They also make Brew Biscuit dog treats from spent brewing grains and package beer in the most recyclable container on the planet, aluminum.
Tours of the Austin brewery are given on Friday at 5pm and Saturday at 2pm and 4pm. Tours are FREE, & last about 45 min. 13 beers on tap.
BEER
Zoe Pale Lager (3.75) – Hoppy, medium-bodied lager; big step up from a lawnmower beer
River Beer Premium Lager (4.25) – Medium body and hoppiness; sweet and malty; reminiscent of the German pils style
Van Damnit Belgian Pale Ale (2.25) – Hop bitterness overwhelming the flavor profile; essential aspects of Belgian pale ale are masked by excess hops
Porter Culture (4.75) – Huge roasted character defines this beer; bold and adventurous; tremendous example of style
Belgian Tripel (4.25) – Sweet and refined Belgian ale; alcohol level is evident, but not overpowering; subtle and complex – 4.25
