Medium sized, comfortable brewpub with a large round bar. Classic rock playing, not too loud, just right to enjoy conversation. No televisions, so if you’re looking for a place to watch the big game, go elsewhere. We tried several house beers as well as some guest taps.
BEER:
Greenbush American Pale Ale - Totally acceptable pale ale; medium body, medium bitterness - 3.75
Sandstone Belgian Blonde Ale - Sweet, subtle malty flavor, slight clove aftertaste, could be more adventurous - 4.25
Hoity Toity Hefeweizen - Traditional German style, heavy on clove notes - 4.50
Grinder Coffee Porter - Robust, malty, roasted flavor. Could have more malt. - 4.00
Potosi Cave Ale - American Pale Ale, thin/medium body, low bitterness
Lake Louie Prairie Moon Farmhouse Ale - Objectionable spice flavor
Wisconsin Brewing Company Nectarine American Pale Ale - Nice body, hop character all wrong, objectionable aftertaste
FOOD:
They offer “comfort classics with a bit of a twist.” A good variety including salads, burgers, sandwiches, pot pies, entrees, as well as several fish and vegetarian or vegan options. A couple of interesting appetizers included chicken parmesan bites and duck nachos.
