Big, roomy taproom and patio. The place has an ultra casual vibe. There were a whopping 24 beers on tap when we visited. The sheer range of German beer styles was impressive.
BEER:
Helles (4.50) – Crisp, malty, refreshing German lager. Appropriate level of hop bitterness. Hugely drinkable.
Cold Czech Pilsner (4.50) – Medium-bodied pilsner, noble hops front and center. Crisp and bready.
Bock Sabbath Helles Bock (4.75) – Slightly amber lager. Malt sweetness dominates flavor profile. Powerful mouthfeel.
Dunkel (4.75) – Caramel malts dominate flavor profile. Medium-bodied amber lager. Hop bitterness sits in the background and malt character takes center stage.
Super Soft Party Pils Kellerbier (5.00) – Full bodied lager. Hop bitterness takes a back seat, but is in proper balance. Big, bready character hits the bullseye for this beer.
TBT: Schnukiputzi Hefeweizen (3.50) – Addition of strawberry, pear, and apple. Presence of different fruits may transform this beer from a traditional Hefeweizen to a Radler. Light and highly drinkable.
Märzen (4.00) – Medium-bodied amber lager. Malty and caramel character noticeable. Needs a boost in the grain bill. Nice hop bitterness provides harmony and balance.
Weizenbock (2.50) – Amber Bock beer. A mish-mash of beer components results in a beer that is neither Weizen nor Bock. Bock-related sweetness rather evident. A difficult style to hit accurately.
FOOD:
The menu only had a few offerings, but the quality was excellent.
