A modern, spacious taproom. Low-key, relaxed atmosphere. A large collection of aging barrels takes up space in the rear of the taproom. We visited the Lamplighter CX taproom, which had 16 beers on tap.

BEER:
Cloud City New England IPA (4.50) – Cascade of floral complexity in bouquet. Tinge of hop bitterness remains in aftertaste. Properly balanced New England IPA.

Group Theory Chamomile Honey Wheat Ale (3.50) – No evidence of chamomile in flavor profile. Honey blends well with wheat ale aspects. Good balance between overall sweetness and hop bitterness. Beer has only subtle bitter character.

Honalee New England IPA (3.75) – Moderate level of hop bitterness. Bouquet not a significant aspect. Medium-bodied, somewhat malty character. Strawberry and mango big contributors to flavor profile.

Lamp Lager American Lager (3.50) – Super light-bodied lager. Hop bitterness barely detectable. Meets the characteristics of style, but hardly an enjoyable drinking experience.

Metric Systems Gose (4.00) – Lemon and citrus right upfront. Light-bodied and enjoyable. Low level of hop bitterness, appropriate for style.

The Audacity Hefeweizen (3.25) – Hazy, straw colored Hefeweizen. Light-bodied, a bit thin for this type of beer. Plenty of clove character. Perfectly acceptable example of style.
