Located between Milwaukee and Madison in the small town of Lake Mills. Small taproom, dimly lit, with six round hightop tables, medium-sized wooden bar, walls painted green-blue with dark wood accents. Beautiful patio. Live entertainment on weekends draws huge crowds.

Fifteen beers on tap, six are classified as “Brewers Gone Wild,” higher alcohol beers aged in rum, bourbon, rye, or tequila barrels.

BEER:
Three Beaches Blonde Ale (3.50) – No-nonsense blonde ale, medium body; hop bitterness relatively low.
Helles for Real (3.75) – Nice and malty, terrific mouthfeel; sensibly bittered, good balance.
Fargo Brothers Hefeweizen (4.75) – Splendid example of a classic Hefeweizen; superb blend of malts; fermented perfectly.
Headless Man Altbier (2.50) – Needs more malt to be a truly great Altbier.
Bitter Woman IPA (4.00) – Medium body, well balanced; bitterness level enjoyable, not overpowering.
Rocky’s Revenge Imperial Brown Ale (aged in bourbon barrels) (3.75) – Full-bodied brown ale; bourbon flavor evident, but does not overwhelm.
Chief Black Hawk Porter (3.75) – Nice, roasted malt character; needs more malt to be a “big beer;” low bitterness, according to style.
